DBSK obsession
Monday, October 27, 2008

Lets see.

Friday was Dexter's birthday so I met up with Dolyce and Randell at Parkway.

Although we planned to meet at 2 we expected everyone to be late but guess what? I smsed Dolyce at 1.30 to ask what time she was leaving her place but she was alr on the bus!

Walked arnd for 3 hrs and we ended up buying a huge ball for Dexter!

This was the only picture I cld get. Dont know why I'm having problems with uploading pics.

I went shopping with Daosuans on monday. Was nice to go out with everyone again.
Leeshen was desperate to buy things but as usual, I end up spending the most.
I love my new CK bag.

I realise, the only thing making my day these few days are shopping (which means no money alr) and distractions.

I've been distracting myself with a host of things including obsessing with DongBangShinKi which means Gods rising from the East.
They are Gods man. Seriously.

And previously, when I liked only Jaejoong and Yunho, now I like them plus Junsu and Yoochun!

I'll blog abt them since I want to continue to occupy my time with nonsense. And I decided to rank them too.

No.2 Uknow Yunho

The God of Dance and the leader of the group. Although I think he has the weakest vocals (but still quite good, way better then most Taiwan boybands anyway) he is the best dancer. Man can he rock! Oh and he just saved a girl from an accident too. Talk about a great guy.

No.3 Xiah Junsu

Amazing vocals. He has this unique voice that just grows on you. Seriously. Plus he has this so decent face. Haha. He would be able to be the lead singer of any band with his amazing vocals. Alas, there was only one person who could sing better than this brilliant guy. (Btw, I love his hair colour here)

No.4 Mickey Yoochun

I love his deep voice and he has this sort of english accent when he sings (for Mirotic anyway). And somehow, his hairstyle is cool man. I cant think of anyone else who can pull it off. Brilliant stuff.

No.5  Max Changmin

His voice can go up really, really high man. Plus, his the youngest member. Scores lots of points.

And finally, my No.1

No.1 Hero Jaejoong

With the voice of God, this guy can sing! I think his angel in disguise. God sent him to us as a gift. He has amazing talent. And he has nice eyes (which, for those who know me means alot) Who cares if he has gone for surgery. I want to go too. Any kind souls out there to sponsor me? And don't complain abt how many pics of him I put up. I'm bias.

And to top it all up, here are the 5 Gods!

I want to go to Thailand on the 11th to catch my idol man!!

I feel like I'm approaching my anti-social mood again.

Down Orchard Road alone failed to lift the gloom.
Another time when I failed to buy anything.
Plus I broke a record. I spent only $2.30 on my lunch.
In Orchard.
A new record broken.

I hate how powerless I am now.

Short of cash, short of emotions.
Empty.

Hair
Tuesday, October 21, 2008
First official day of school wasn't so bad, but wasn't very much fun either.
Me feelinging itchy for a haircut got one!

I went to Storm to look for Kason at 2.30 but he was so busy the counter girl asked me to come back at 4.30 so i went back to school to slack at SU lounge.

Went back to Century Square and it was still quite full.

When Kason asked me what I wanted to do I did the usual, anything. Lol

He did quite aot to my hair. Lets see, he lightened my hair colour and then dyed it with two tones. Matt brown and copper brown. Love the natural look man

Me after the lightening.
I think the colour looked quite nice. The shampoo girl was like, the colour quite nice ah actually. And Kason tried to trick me into thinking that that was my dyed hair -_-

Poor guy, he had been working for like non-stop since morning. He didn't even have time to eat lunch. so he skipped a meal. I felt so guilty.

And he apologised profusely cuz i waited for so long but I told him, 'Its ok, I'm used to it.'

SInce the past few times I was there, I waited forever as well. But he rocks lah. He gave me a $70 discount so I only paid $148 for lightening, dying of two tones, treatment and of course cut.

I like my new hair :)

Kason rocks. Oh and DBSK are now my idols. They sang Boyz 2 Men's in the still of the night and it was awesome!!!!

Look out for me if you wana see my new hair. Lol

Yesterday's sports day was alright I guess. Played soccer and captain's ball with the rest. Quite forgettable, only that my legs kinda ache from all that running.

But dinner was fabulous. Went to Uncle Zaihan's place and had so much fun.

Obviously I came late, what with sch and all, so went straight for dinner. Had both Soto and mutton soup. The soto was good but even though the mutton soup was quite nice, it was spicy! Nearly died.

But it was the desserts that stole the show.

Cik Lin brought out all the dif kinds of tea for us to try and me being a tea lover, jumped for joy.

So we talked on a whole host of issues that really interest me. And esp with me being the only one from my generation (my nxt cousin decided not to come and my brother and my other cousin was busy fiddling with his new iPod touch).

I bet my mom was squirmishing and turned green with envy as I was the one interacting with my aunts and uncle. My mom loves being the centre of attraction.

We talked about what else but food, glorious food!

Lets see, we discussed about the dif tea, some of which my parents dared not taste, seafood buffets at Konrad, sashimi and salmon, which they both didnt eat and Carouselle buffet at Orchard. Oh and cheese!

And my uncle brought out cheese! 3 types to be precise, aged, bree and one other thing.

Obviously I took all of this like a fish in water and i truly enjoyed myself.

Yay. That certainly made my night. They are officially my favourite aunt and uncle on my grandfather's side.

Finally I had sashimi.

After a long and ultimately boring morning in school, Kay and I went for sashimi!

We ordered about 13 plates of sashimi. Delicious!

But, I didnt manage to manage my spending.
I headed to Bugis to collect my specs and I walked into TOPMAN and, I just bought this nice jacket.

Damn.

So I'm imposing a spending freeze across board (Ok i got that phrase from the presidential debates. McCain seemed to use this alot. and if you don't know what I'm talking abt then shame on you because your living under a rock.)

Oh and I received my timetable already!
Its quite nice, I get mon and tue afternoon's off and I only have to stay late on thursday, I've always hated thursdays anyway.

And I got FILM THEORY!!! Which means I got my dream combo in year two, Broadcast Performance and Film Theory. Wonderful.
Although my class is like made up of last sem's Broadcast and Sports Marketing students.
Lets see, Brenda, Vanessa, Suzanne, Kellyn, Steph, Mel and me from Broadcast and Iman heng, Haikel, Jared, Konrad and Kenneth from Sports.

And as you can see, I basically know more then half my class quite well alr.

I still cnt really believe I got Film.

Ah well, going to Uncle Zaihan's place later. Hopefully I can ignore my annoying cousin.
But first, there's sports day later, though I am abit lazy to play.

Saturday, October 11, 2008
I felt so bored whilst going out that I did a mental wishlist at each of the 5 houses I visited today.

In no particular order, which means tangible, intangible, practical and ridiculous included.

DongBanShinKi

I'm still in this DBSK phase. Cnt stop listening to them. They are like the best group. Period.

Was reading some stuff and people were comparing them to Farenheit.
They must be deaf and blind.

I had my Farenheit phase and I assure you, DBSK is like wayyy better.

They have two brilliant singers: Xiah JunSu and my 'hyung' (right...) Jae Joong
The rest can sing quite well, way better then Farenheit.

They can dance freaking well, esp Yunho (another hyung)

Comparing looks?
Yunho and Jae Joong are like gods.
Although in this dept, Farenheit can give DBSK a run for their money.

But this is the music industry.
Farenheit are like peanuts compared to DBSK.
Ok better not let Cass read this.

In any case, I certainly hope by some miracle DBSK perform their latest album in Singapore.
I love practically all their songs in this album.

Korean Wave
Wednesday, October 08, 2008
Thanks to Nicole, I'm stuck watching this korean gameshow called X man. Its hilarious!

Truly, I've been laughing quite alot, something I havent done in awhile, because of the show and the chalet.

On monday, had lunch with Cass, Clara, Nicole and ZiXuan. We had sushi!

Chalet was nice. Darren saved the day with his delicious drink! It was so smooth man. I swear!

And now, I'm officially a DBSK fan. They rock!

Ok my body still hurts from badminton yest.

Listening to this Korean guy, Lee Seung Gi, and I want to go sleep. Ciao.

Mirotic
Sunday, October 05, 2008
I'm stuck with DBSK's latest hit Mirotic.
Its freaking brillant. Their moves are slick.

Although there is still room for improvement.
Their english pronounciation needs alot of work and Xiah and Mickey's hairstyles are wierd!

But overall, they're great.
Jae Joong and Yun Ho's as brilliant as ever!

Going for sashimi later with Clara, Cass, Nicole and Zi Xuan at tamp. I've been cravng for sashimi for 2 months!
But, been busy wth exams and then fasting month.

Oh and I need a casing for my hp. I love my aunt's Kate Spade hp holder. But Jack Spade's designs arnt as great.

And I'm torn between shopping or saving up for dec.

In the mean time, watch Mirotic!

I heard a very hilarious piece of news yesterday. My cousin's getting engaged in dec and the gift amounts to 10K. OK that was nice, then afterwards, my uncle pestered my cousin's father and it turns out my cousin's GRANDFATHER got married- again.

It was funny because we already knew abt it just wanted to hear it from his mouth.

I didnt go to Orchard in the end yesterday. Visited my granduncles' and grandaunts' whom I missed so much.

Someone kept pestering me yesterday on my future plans.

Where will I study?
What am I going to study?
Will I work?
etc, etc, etc.

One of the reasons why I hate socializing.

9:26 PM

So the first day is over. It was way better then expected. Although we only ended up going to 5 houses, including my grandparents places, which means that this is probably a new record. Only 3 visits. But as usual, the bulk of what I got came from the 1st day and I finally managed to have enough to pay for the planned stuff.

Which just means everything I get from today gets to go into my shopping fund. Makes me feel better already.

Saw several beautiful bags online. But seriously, I dont quite know what I want to buy and I'm past the 'buy for the sake of buying' stage.

I need to go out alone some time soon.

And I owe myself a bit of pampering.

Sashimi and eqyptian food soon then I guess.
